Joseph Lo's Photography Gallery

From november 21 to 27, 1998, an exhibition called Duet was held at the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Center.

Besides the creative art of Chinese poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal engraving, the artist Joseph Lo, has extended his love of art into photography. The dual theme of this exhibition: Lotus and Italy juxtapose together. Parts of the work shown in the exhibition are shown in the following two oneline galleries. Please click on the images to enter. Please note that all the images contained in these pages are here for you to enjoy, any and all use of the images in my gallery is not allowed without written permission from the site owner.

  • The First Theme:

Lotus: An Admiration of the East.

This series of photography demonstrates that besides the paintbrush, the camera is another tool that can be used to show the blending of chinese heart and western medium.

  • The Second Theme:

Italy: An Appreciation of the West.

Architecture serves as a backdrop for human activities. It also records the dwellers' perceptions of living. This series shows how Joseph Lo uses his Nikon FM2 to express his appreciation of Italian architectural language and space.
