To better understand Chinese Calligraphy, I also learnt some traditional musical instruments. The first one I learnt is Yang-qin (as shown in the picture above), literally a foreign piano; it is a variation of dulcimer and was imported from Persia to China during the Ming Dynasty, by way of the Silk Road. The second one is Er-hu, which is a two-string musical instrument originated from a northern minority of China. For me, music is for self relaxation and enjoyment; therefore I have given up performing in public since 1998.

The background music is my first piece of Midi music that I wrote in the spring of 1997.

Unfortunately, I don't have my Chinese music encoded yet.
