Lady and Pine

Commissioned by the Cancer Center of University of Louisville, I was asked to create an image of a lady searching for health in the style of combining of Chinese calligraphy and painting for the breast cancer program. I drew the pine tree in a form of a Chinese character "shou" which means longevity. Indeed, in Chinese culture, the evergreen tree, pine, symbolizes healthy long life.
